News from the cube farm. One of the resident vegetables was reported as running his own business on company time. Is this shocking news? Not really. This particular vegetable is almost literally buried in paper manure or worm fodder. Job security I guess. But with the economy going the way it is there is little wonder that the vegetable is selling on E-bay and checking Craigslist while at work.
I blame the current economy and job market for holding me hostage in a job that does not pay enough. A job I continuously return to just for the sake of saying I have a job in this economic downturn. I do not have the same luxuries as some of the cube farm residents. For example, the previously mentioned vegetable takes 2 half hour breaks a day and more than 1 hour for lunch and shows up when ever he chooses. Only the farmers can get away with that, so who does this vegetable "think" he is? Don't forget the eyes of the Potato Witch are always watching; she must be sleeping on the job because I don't think she has discovered this yet. Oh, but the Potato Witch will discover this soon enough I am sure. Especially since the budget meeting was last week and more "cuts" are expected. Watch out vegetables you may find yourself getting "canned."
