A day at the cube farm

First, the cube farm is a workspace where all cubicles are in the center of the office and surrounded by offices inhabited by the farming staff. Or at least people who get paid enough to deserve windows. The cubicles can be likened to planter gardening. The walls are high to prevent socializing so there is no "office buzz." So in order to socialize with the outside world many of the "vegetables" log onto Facebook to see how the rest of the world is managing. Dun dun dun... Facebook is no longer accessible, the office blocked it. So what do inventive people do in the office? They use their phones to access Facebook.

When will office managers and corporations learn that cubicles that prevent people from socializing is a bad thing. With interaction with fellow workers comes ideas that can make the process easier, faster, or plainly more bearable. But no, they minimize socializing because they want the same mundane amount of work to be completed because they are mundane. These mundane people have no creative spark or inspiration. So when inspiration is presented to them they shun it and shoo it away. Monotonous structure is preferred over vitality and life.

Within these cubicles you will find mountains of paper work which is processed like all other forms of manure that is processed by vegetables. The only difference is that these vegetables are considered to be workers and expected to produce a bountiful harvest for their "farmers" (aka the office dwellers with windows). Watch out for the office dwellers though, they can be vicious and are not to be trusted. The worst one of all is the Potato Witch (aka the Human Resource director).

The eyes of the Potato Witch are always watching...
